Nomex^® Paper

Nomex^® paper is the preferred insulation material for Class F to Class C systems, as used by manufacturers and repairers of electrical motors, generators, alternators and dry type transformers.

The unique properties of Nomex^® also permits its use in the production of cables, electrical and electronic equipment, aerospace parts and many other diverse applications, where its exceptional properties are required i.e.

Nomex^® is manufactured by DuPont and is available through Katco Ltd.

Nomex^® is produced in various formats and sizes, the following are available from Katco:

Nomex^® paper
Nomex^® Type 410	calandered, available in thicknesses from 0.05mm to 0.76mm. Provides the best mechanical properties and is the most widely used version.
Nomex^® Type 411	uncalandered, available in thicknesses from 0.13mm to 0.58mm. Often used as soft cushioning material or when conformability and impregnability are of importance.
Nomex^® Adhesive Tape	Nomex^® can be supplied with an adhesive backing as sheets, tape or die-cut components.
Other types	Nomex^® Type 414, Type 418, Nomex^® Pressboard, T992, T993 and T994

Short Roll Service: Nomex^® is normally supplied in standard rolls, however Katco also provides short rolls from 10 linear metres long x 610mm wide.
